Title: Imaging Acoustic Obstacles by Near-Field Data
Abstract: In this talk we discuss the reconstruction of acoustic obstacles in two and three dimensions by the near-field measurements corresponding to some plane waves, cylindrical waves or hypersingular point sources. Mathematical justification of the reconstruction is addressed and numerical experiments are also presented. This is a joint work with Jingzhi Li (ETH), Hongyu Liu (University of California at Irvine) and Hongpeng Sun (Chinese Academy of Sciences) and the work was supported by Hong Kong RGC grants (Projects 405110 and 404407).
